If you find yourself dating again in your golden years, you may feel your options are limited. It can be tough to find someone who is like-minded, fit and single. Throw into the mix shared religious and cultural background, and the field seem to narrow still further.
Jewish dating services specialize in Jewish matchmaking for any age. They can be particularly helpful to older or newly single people, who are feeling vulnerable or insecure about re-entering the dating scene. That is not always a bad thing, but throwing the word “Jewish” in front of “dating service” does not make a website an online Jewish dating service. Of course, it doesn’t mean there aren’t genuine people on there, one of whom may be looking for you.
The important thing is, do your homework. Don’t just jump online and start filling out applications. You need to consider if you want a free online dating service or a service that involves a fee. Again, there is no right or wrong answer. Make your first encounter with browsing online dating services just that; browsing. Go over the guidelines, rules, regulations and what responsibility the administration is willing to accept, if any. These are all important factors in the world of online dating.

Be safe and build up some sort of a trust with the person you choose before you meet them in person. You can chat online, or talk on the phone until you are ready to meet them. Be wary of the person who insists on meeting immediately. Take your time.
